Founded in July 2025, the College of Artificial Intelligence at Zhejiang University is responsible for the development of two first-level disciplines (Artificial Intelligence and Design Science) and two undergraduate programs (Artificial Intelligence, and Intelligent Engineering and Creative Design). It currently hosts two national-level platforms: the National Industry-Education Integration and Innovation Platform for Artificial Intelligence and the National Artificial Intelligence Teaching Materials Base for Higher Education Institutions.

To extensively recruit outstanding talents worldwide, the College will conduct exchange and recruitment activities in Singapore in January 2026.

Positions & Requirements

Qiushi Chair Professor

Globally recognized top scholars with systematic and creative achievements, significant contributions, and extensive international academic influence in AI-related fields.

Qiushi Distinguished Scholar

Includes Qiushi Distinguished Professor, Qiushi Distinguished Teaching Fellow, and Qiushi Distinguished Engineering Fellow. Candidates should hold a professorship or equivalent position at a leading university, possess widespread influence within their field, demonstrate the capability to lead the discipline to or beyond international advanced levels, and exhibit strong teamwork and corresponding organizational/management skills. Applicants must be under 55 (under 59 for the Distinguished Teaching Fellow position).

"Hundred Talents Program" Researcher

Hold a Ph.D. from a renowned domestic or international university; be an emerging top-notch talent in an AI-related field with the potential to become an academic leader; capable of independently developing an academic direction aligned with the discipline's development goals; generally around 35 years old (not exceeding 40).

Research Directions

  • Intelligent Theory and Systems: cross-paradigm intelligent architecture construction, disciplinary large model platforms, trustworthy AI theoretical frameworks, next-generation intelligence principles.
  • Mathematical Foundations of AI: statistical learning theory for AI, model compression and distillation limit theory, formal mathematical methods for trustworthy AI, unified AI learning theory.
  • AI Software-Hardware Coordination: large model chip architecture and co-design, ultra-large-scale distributed AI computing systems, AI heterogeneous computing and compiler optimization, software-hardware co-design for AI system energy efficiency.
  • Autonomous Intelligent Systems: general embodied agent systems, medical/agricultural intelligent robots, multi-agent collective intelligence frameworks, ethics and controllable execution mechanisms.
  • Intelligent Design: generative design large models, human-AI collaborative innovation platforms, vertical-domain intelligent products, integrated design-manufacturing platforms.

  • Think Tank 11, Singapore University of Technology and Design: January 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
