Zhejiang University College of Artificial Intelligence Invites Global Talents

As a core technology driving the new round of scientific revolution and industrial transformation, artificial intelligence exerts significant and far-reaching impacts on economic development, social progress, and the international political-economic landscape. To address national strategic needs and engage with the frontiers of global technological competition, Zhejiang University established the College of Artificial Intelligence in July 2025.

The College oversees two first-level disciplines (Artificial Intelligence and Design Science) and two undergraduate programs (Artificial Intelligence, and Intelligent Engineering and Creative Design). It currently operates two national-level platforms: the National Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform for Artificial Intelligence and the National Artificial Intelligence Teaching Materials Base. Planned research directions include Intelligent Theory and Systems, Intelligent Design, AI Software-Hardware Coordination, Autonomous Intelligent Systems, and Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence.

Positions & Requirements

Qiushi Chair Professor

World-leading scholars with systematic and creative achievements, major contributions, and extensive international academic influence in AI-related fields, such as recipients of prestigious international awards, academicians from developed countries, or scholars of equivalent stature.

Qiushi Distinguished Scholar

Includes Qiushi Distinguished Professor, Qiushi Distinguished Teaching Fellow, and Qiushi Distinguished Practice Fellow. Candidates should hold a professorship or equivalent at a leading university, possess broad influence among peers, demonstrate leadership to advance the discipline to international forefront levels, and show strong teamwork and organizational/management skills. Applicants must be under 55 as of January 1st of the application year (under 59 for the Distinguished Teaching Fellow).

"Hundred Talents Program" Researcher

Hold a Ph.D. from a prestigious university with an academic level equivalent to an assistant or associate professor at a leading international university; be a promising young talent in AI with the potential to become an academic leader; capable of independently developing an academic direction meeting disciplinary needs; generally around 35 years old (not exceeding 40).

Application Procedure

  • Detailed CV: continuous record of education and work from undergraduate studies to present, list of publications, key teaching and research accomplishments, research projects, patents, and awards.
  • Three representative publications.
  • A brief biography (approx. 500 words) highlighting major academic achievements and impact.
  • Work proposal and future research plan.
  • Compile all materials into a single PDF named "Name + Current Affiliation + Position Applied For" and send to kyylxj@zju.edu.cn. Initial review completes within three weeks; shortlisted candidates are invited for a video interview or an on-campus visit in Hangzhou.
